Our Mission

Crafts

  • To  promote Nigeria's image in Brazil and the Caribbean as a multi-ethnic and culturally rich country.
  • To serve as an information centre where information about Nigeria could be dissemeniated to the Brazilians and the caribbean in general.

  • Ton assist in the greater understanding of black culture as Brazil has a preponderance of blacks of African origin

  • To effectively propagate Nigeria rich cultural heritage in Brazil and the caribbean.

  • To serve as a resource centre for research and academic pursuit

  • To serve as nerve centre to co-ordinate and carry out cultural activities which would endea the world Nigeria culturally and present a gateway into other economic and development activities in Nigeria's favour.

Backgroung

Nigeria Cultural Center (casa da NigĂ©ria) is of the Federal Ministry of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation, Abuja Nigeria Ministries in Nigeria. The center was the first Nigerian Cultural center and was established as an outreach center to promote the image of the country in the Caribbean. The house is strategically located at an area declared by the UNESCO as the heritage site which was donated to Nigeria by the state of Bahia, Brazil and the Caribbean.
